SALT stands for Serve and Learn Together in Jesus’ name. Integral to the mission of CHS is equipping students to see and savor how grand our God is. This in turn will shape hearts to be attentive to the needs of the world around them. Christ's mandate to "Love your neighbor as yourself" is most visibly represented in school sponsored SALT trips to destinations both domestic and abroad. As students are intentionally removed from comforts and attractions of home and are given time and space to focus on doing work that Christ would do, eyes are opened, and hearts are transformed. Recent and upcoming SALT trips include:
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Portland, ME
  • Houston, TX
  • Puerto Rico
  • Guatemala
  • Uganda
  • Zambia
  • India
  • Morocco

In Students' Words

"I went to India on a missions trip with CHS and it has changed who I have become in the best possible way."

"Spending a week serving together, worshiping and sharing in small groups, built deeper and more intimate friendships."

"I was timid and slightly awkward at first, but as the trip progressed I became increasingly more comfortable. I was forming friendships with students I’d never talked to previously, being a part of unforgettable events, and touching the lives of others just as they had GREAT effects on mine."
