In the coming weeks, we’ll be highlighting some teachers who have joined our faculty in the last two years – and finding out about their perspectives on CHS.

Mrs. Florence "Flori" Lee
M.A.T Science Ed., Western Governors University
B.S. Stony Brook University
B.A. Cornell University
Classes taught now and in the past
I currently teach Anatomy & Physiology, and am an Academic Specialist in Student Academic Services.  In the past I have taught Biology and General Science.  I have also done homebound tutoring for the town of Trumbull.  In addition, I homeschooled my two children for eleven years and taught them all academic subjects.
What do you love most about CHS?
I love the biblical foundation upon which CHS is built, how that foundation impacts what is taught in the classroom, and how the faculty relate to each other and the students.
What one word would you use to describe CHS?
Family.  CHS is a family.  We are members of the family of God.  As such, it is a warm and supportive environment where students and faculty/staff/administration alike can grow.
How are faith and learning integrated at CHS?
Faith is at the heart of all learning at CHS.  There are biblical lessons to be had in all subject areas.  I particularly enjoy discussing this in my Anatomy & Physiology class, as learning about the human body provides a glimpse into the creative genius of the Creator.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
I was a physical therapist, which gives me a unique perspective for teaching Anatomy & Physiology.  My homeschooling background makes me well suited to support students in various subjects in Student Academic Services.
How would you describe CHS students?
CHS students are respectful and hard-working in their classes, and also kind and supportive of each other.
Anything else to add?
I absolutely love working at CHS!  There is nowhere else I would rather teach.
