Student Academic Services

We are pleased to be able to offer services to those students needing additional help academically. The purpose of the Student Academic Services is to provide assistance to students who are struggling academically. Our desire is to coordinate services for these students in our academic setting.

Students are considered for participation in the SAS program through teacher recommendation. This recommendation along with standardized test results and academic records are reviewed and evaluated. The administration makes the final decision regarding admission into the program.

Students are scheduled to come to the Student Academic Services one to five sessions per week, depending on student need, student academic services availability, and class schedules. SAS specialists collaborate with core academic teachers to ensure they are focusing on what is important in the context of the student’s classes. Academic specialists help manage testing accommodations as well.  In the Student Academic Services it is our goal for the students to learn, to understand what they need to work on and seek out help if needed.  Lastly we work hard to help students manage their time in order to become a more successful, independent student.

Parental consent is required and parents are charged a fee for this service.
