CHS has contracted Chartwell's Food Service/FLIK to provide daily comprehensive lunch catering services for all students. This service is automatically available to every student as part of the tuition cost for the year.
Chef Walter Ward has been at CHS since the fall of 2009. Each day, students are offered a hot entree with a soup and vegetable. If a student wishes to opt for a cold lunch selection, there are two choices, including a salad bar with an array of toppings and a deli bar with freshly cooked and sliced turkey, as well as tuna fish made daily. FLIK is dedicated to using fruits and vegetables from local New England farmers and only seasonal fruit is offered. Chef Walter is also allergy aware (for example: nuts, celiac) in his food preparations.
Students in kindergarten are given assistance as they learn the lunchtime routine. They eat in the cafeteria but have plates prepared and handed out to them.
