| The After School Zone is a program provided for Christian Heritage School students in grades K-6. It is designed to serve the needs of parents who require child-care assistance on a regular, weekly basis.
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS IT?
The After School Zone provides childcare assistance for CHS students in grades K-6. Per school policy, CHS students in these grades must be under adult supervision. After School Zone provides a safe, fun, neighborhood environment right at CHS! Each afternoon, there is a simple snack provided and children enjoy outside play (weather permitting). There is a small library of books, games, and puzzles for younger students to enjoy. Students in grades 3-6 usually work on their homework assignments.
WHEN IS IT?
After School Zone meets everyday from 2:30p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and follows the CHS school calendar. It is not available on half-day dismissals or conference days. The program may be used each day on a regular basis, or any parts of a week for occasional or emergency use.
WHO WILL BE TAKING CARE OF MY STUDENT?
Mrs. Pam Bristol, the After School Zone Director, is a CHS mom and the wife of John Bristol who teaches 7th and 8th grade History at CHS. Usually, there are two After School Zone staff members caring for the children each afternoon.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
Unlimited use: $2,000 per year ($1,000 is due by September 5; remaining $1,000 due by Jan. 15)
