| THE SUMMER AT CHS PROGRAM (2009)
This summer, CHS will once again be offerring the Summer at CHS Program. Last summer, we began a new era of summer programs at the Christian Heritage School with a completely revised summer program. This year, the program will be enhanced even further. The 2009 campaign will start June 15th and end July 31st. This seven week program will include many of the traditional CHS sports and educational programs offered in the past, but will also include many new fun and exciting summer camp programs as well. The theme of the program will be "LEARN, CHANGE, GROW."
The Summer at CHS Program will have offerrings for students entering Kindergarten through 12th grade in the fall of 2010 and be available to both CHS and non-CHS students. Structured programs will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Early drop-off and late pick-up options will allow parents to drop students off as early as 8:00 a.m. and pick students up as late as 5:00 p.m. each day.
The highly successful CHS Basketball, Soccer, and Tennis Camps will be back, along with the CHS Baseball and Volleyball Camp which had very successful start-ups last year. Other sports offerings will include flag football, kick ball, punt, pass & kick contests, Junior Olympic competitions, basketball and soccer skill and conditioning clinics, and more.
Educational opportunities will be an important part of the Summer at CHS Program as well. Students will be challenged with classes that study nature, history, and math. Reading and writing programs will help prepare them for their upcoming school year.
In addition to sports and educational programs, the Summer at CHS Program will include plenty of the typical fun and games found at most summer camps. Arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrap booking, dance and music classes are just of few of the activities that will keep students having fun all summer long.
The Summer at CHS brochure will be available in December. If you would like more information, please contact program director Rick Vieira at rvieira@kingsmen.org. |
