Dear Parents,
The following are announcements and upcoming events:
CHS SPONSORS TOY DRIVE FOR THE POOR
Thank you to everyone in our school community who participated in our food drive for the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. As a school community, we collected over 7,300 pounds of food for the mission just in time for the holidays! This is an all-time record for CHS! Praise God.
We have one more opportunity as a school community to serve the poor of the greater Bridgeport community through a Toy Drive just in time for Christmas. If your church is performing a similar effort we encourage you first to serve there. However, CHS would like to partner with Bread of Heaven Ministries to supply toys this Christmas for a minimum of 100 children. Bread of Heaven ministers to the homeless of Bridgeport every Saturday night by providing both food and the truth of the gospel to those that desperately need both. At Christmastime, they host a party for poor families at which toys are presented to children. CHS first grade teacher, Mrs. Conlan, has been serving at this ministry faithfully for years. With toy donations for this event particularly low this year, Bread of Heaven is excited to have CHS come alongside.
If you would like to participate, please bring in an unwrapped toy for either a boy or girl ages 5-12 between Dec. 3 and Dec. 16 and place it under the Christmas tree in the lobby at CHS. Thank you!! – If you have any further questions please contact Shawn Haggerty at 261-6230 ext. 542 or shaggerty@kingsmen.org.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM OUR ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT
CHS CAR MAGNETS WORK!
I received four phone calls last week from families who said they had never heard of CHS until they saw a CHS car magnet. One was spotted in the Fairfield Library parking lot, two were in grocery store parking lots in Westport and Shelton and the last was in the parking lot of a church in Easton. Wow! THANK YOU to the families who are helping to get the word out about this wonderful school. If your car does not have a car magnet, PLEASE stop by the Blue House or Main Office and pick one up! Be sure to remember to remove it when you get your car washed – and put it back on to get the word out about this wonderful school! Thank you! – Martha Olson, Director of Admissions.
