TALENT SHOW
The senior class sponsored Talent Show will take place on Saturday, January 30th at 7pm. (The snow date is 2/6). The talent show is open to grades K-12, and the next try-out date is Tuesday, January 26th from 2:30-3:30pm. Dress rehearsal for the show will take place on Friday afternoon, Jan. 29th. If you would like to try-out, please e-mail Mr. John Naeher at jnaeher@kingsmen.org or see Mrs. Stobierski in the Upper School office.
SCHOOL-WIDE NEW PAJAMA COLLECTION
The Junior Class Student Government is sponsoring a school-wide NEW pajama collection from January 19-29, to benefit the orphans of Hogares Luz Y Vida in Bogata, Columbia. The pajamas will be delivered as part of the Christmas in February mission trip. Any size is fine! Please call Vicki Gatling with questions at 203-656-0408 or email gatl1@optonline.net.
FOCUS ON MARRIAGE SIMULCAST AT CHS!
On Saturday, February 27, CHS is hosting Focus on Marriage, a live satellite broadcast presented by Focus on the Family. This life changing simulcast will empower married couples to stay faithful, committed and encouraged in their marriages. The cost is only $75 per couple and includes continental breakfast and lunch. A registration form is attached. Speakers scheduled to appear include Gary Chapman (author of The Five Love Languages), Gary Thomas (author of Sacred Marriage), Kirk Cameron (lead actor in Fireproof) and his wife, Chelsea, Francis Chan (author of Crazy Love), Stephen Kendrick (co-author of The Love Dare), and Les and Leslie Parrott (Real Relationships Ministry). RE-ENROLLMENT PACKETS
Re-enrollment packets for current families will be mailed out on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. We will have them ready to be picked up in the main office beginning Monday, January 25, 2010. Any packets not picked up by noon on Wednesday will be mailed. Please pick them up in person as we will not be able to give them to another family or send them home with your children. Re-enrollment packets are due back to CHS on Friday, February 26, 2010.
SPRING TAG SALE!
If this new year has inspired you to clean out some closets, please remember the CHS Spring Tag Sale! The sale will be on Saturday, April 24 and items of all kinds that are clean and in good condition are welcome. The item drop off day is Friday, April 23 (the day before the sale) but to start our efforts this year, Lisa Caporaso will be accepting two items in advance- clothing and jewelry. Children’s clothing is especially popular and jewelry is always a requested item by our shoppers. So, if you have clothing or jewelry that you would like to donate now, or anytime before April 23, please contact Lisa Caporaso at 256-8984 or caporaso@sbcglobal.net. Otherwise, please be saving your stuff… the Spring Tag Sale will be here before you know it! Thanks!

Do you receive telephone calls about school closings? If not, you are not on our Alert Now system. Please call Deb Scudder in the Main Office or email her at dscudder@kingsmen.org to get on the Alert Now distribution list.
SKI TRIP
Our Student Government is sponsoring a ski trip to Jiminy Peak on January 22nd. This trip is open to students in grades 6-12. Further information and permission slips are available in the Main Office.
MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL NURSE- OUTDOOR RECESS
When the weather permits, Lower School students will go outdoors at their scheduled recess time. Most are “dressed for success,” but many would enjoy recess more if they wore hats and mittens/gloves. With a little prompting from mom and dad, keeping these things in their pockets can become a good habit.

LOST & FOUND
Missing anything? Please regularly check the lost & found, located outside of the cafeteria, for items you may be missing. Items such as school sweatshirts and textbooks are currently in the lost & found. Also, please remember to write your child’s name on everything. Thank you!
STOP AND SHOP PROGRAM
Thanks to all who have registered your Stop and Shop card with the new A+ Rewards Program. Our school has earned over $250.00 and to date have 54 cards registered. If you have not registered your card it is very easy…. Simply log onto www.stopandshop.com/aplus. You could also help out CHS by purchasing gift cards from the Main Office in $25, $50 and $100 amounts. Please contact Kim Clark in the Main Office with any questions.
