Cheryl Spittle has been with CHS since September, 2002. She teaches 6th grade English and History. She previously served as Team Leader/Imaging Department Team Leader at American Skandia for five years and worked there a total of eleven years.
Cheryl received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Bridgeport and then received a Master's degree in History/Social Studies with certification to teach Middle/High School from Southern Connecticut State University.
Cheryl and her husband, Fred, have three children who all attended CHS--two daughters and one son, Collin, who went to be with the Lord in May, 2008.
Working at CHS has been a great experience for Cheryl because she understands the pivotal role 6th grade plays in the life of a young person on the brink of young adulthood. Because all of my children attended CHS for 6th grade, I understand how important that year is. Students are beginning to be able to think critically at that age, and it is a joy to see this process develop. Relationships and the dynamics that go along with that continue to change in 6th grade. It is a blessing to have them come back several years later to see how the Lord has been working in their lives.
