Mrs. Valerie Fullerton has been teaching for 23 years. Her range of experience has been in public, private, and Christian schools teaching in grades 2, 4, 5 and 6. Previously at CHS, she taught 6th grade for four years. This is her fourth year as Art teacher for grades 1-3.
Valerie received a B.A. from Emmanuel College, Boston, MA. She has also taken graduate courses at Central Connecticut State University. Valerie and her husband, Jim, have two grown children.
Working at CHS is a positive experience for Valerie, as it is a Christ-centered environment with an administration that is strong, approachable and supportive. The goal of administration and faculty is to provide our students excellence through educating the whole person spiritually, academically, physically, and socially.
Valerie says, “As Lower School Art Teacher, I am enjoying teaching the students the basics of art. They are very receptive and their creativity never ceases to amaze me. Even those who believed they could not draw, are finding that they can and are pleased with their successes. What a great reward it is for a teacher to see a student delighted in what he/she has achieved! Both the students and I are learning to see the wonder of what our Lord has created with ‘analytical eyes’.”
