Cindy Backiel joined the staff of CHS in July 2009. She is the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Admissions. Cindy is no stranger to CHS as her son, Joe Martinez, is a 2004 graduate.

Prior to CHS, Cindy worked in various capacities for American Airlines for over 33 years in New York, Stamford, and most recently, Windsor, CT. She is also a professional organizer who started her own business, Shoreline Organizing Service, in 2001. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and in 2008-2009 served as Treasurer for the Connecticut Chapter.

Cindy studied Music Education at the University of Bridgeport, and graduated with a Degree of General Studies from the University of Connecticut. She feels very blessed to be back in the CHS family and is very excited about her new roll in the Admissions Office!
