The mission of the CHS Alumni Association is to build community between all CHS graduates so recent graduates and not-so-recent (!) graduates can all feel a sense of unity as part of the CHS family. The Association will welcome and encourage alumni to be involved in the life of CHS in ways that utilize their particular gifts, talents, and interests. The Alumni Association will be primarily responsible for the planning of Homecoming, and will implement and organize the alumni events that take place over the weekend. The Association will also receive recommendations and nominate alumni for the annual Kingsmen Alumni Award (presented at The Heritage Gala), and make suggestions for “Alumni Spotlights” in the Kingsmen Chronicle. In addition, the Association will develop and maintain an Alumni link on the CHS website so alumni can easily access current information about CHS and one another, and network with one another in a variety of ways. In the future, the Alumni Association may create a fundraiser to raise money for CHS, or recruit class fund agents for the CHS Annual Fund. Finally, the Alumni Association will encourage and help in whatever ways possible to facilitate class reunions, especially for “milestone” years (5 years, 10, years, 20 years, etc.).
