Transportation

Town of Trumbull

School bus service is provided free of charge for residents of the Town of Trumbull. Parents can specify if they want their child(ren) to ride the bus both ways or only one way (morning pick up or afternoon drop off). It takes approximately one week for this busing service to be arranged. For more information and a registration form, please click on the link to the right or contact Mrs. Kim Clark in the Main Office at 203.261.6230 ext. 500 or kclark@kingsmen.org.

Carpooling

CHS students come from over 40 different communities and carpooling is encouraged! A family phone directory is published in September and given to each family. Please feel free to use this directory to call other CHS families to arrange carpooling. Parent Teacher League (PTL) representatives and buddy families are excellent resources to help facilitate logistics.

CHS Van

For families commuting from southern Fairfield County, Christian Heritage School offers the option of a van for morning transportation. Depending upon ridership, van stops are selected at the commuter lots along the Merritt Parkway (i.e. at exits 38, 42 and 44). The route and meeting places will be finalized by August 1. To sign up for school transportation, please complete the Van Transportation Agreement and return it to the Finance Office by July 15.

The Annual Fee for one-way morning van transportation is as follows:

Full year, paid in advance, first child - $2,000 (second child - $1,500, third and other children -$1,000).

One semester only, paid in advance, first child - $1,050 (second child - $787.50, third and other children - $525).

Ten month payment plan (full year), first child - $2,200 (second child - $1,650, third and other children - $1,100).  Payable $220 per month (plus $165 per month for second child and $110 per month for third and other children).

There is a limit of only 14 students for van transportation, and seats will be granted on a first-come-first served basis. If additional students exceed 8 students, then the school will consider a second van.
